Welcome!

My name is Amanda and I was born and raised in Vinton County. I attended West Virginia University where I received a degree in Journalism and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, I moved to Pittsburgh and worked as a Leasing and Marketing Manager for a student-living apartment complex. Within six short weeks I came sprinting back to my roots away from the streetlights and skyscrapers. Having a Target near by was amazing, but Dorothy said it best, there really is NO place like home. 

Unfortunately, the job I moved home for did not pan out like I hoped. However, my love for all things travel and writing inspired me to start this page. So, here I am, sorta jobless and itching to express my creativity and put a pen to paper-or should I say fingers to a keyboard? Either way, I’m so happy you’re here to join me on this journey and I cannot wait to see where this page takes me-pun fully intended.
